<image:caption>Mint is a very cool spice! It can be used in salads to brighten flavor, or as a natural remedy for throat pain. There are many different types of mint, such as spearmint and peppermint to name a few. Mint can be used in many culinary ways, but it can also be used as a natural remedy. For example, mint can be used to treat nausea as well as stomach pain. Mint oil can also be used as an environmentally friendly insecticide for its ability to kill some common pests such as wasps, hornets, ants, and cockroaches. <image:title>Moringa - Moringa</image:title>
<image:caption>Moringa is an incredible plant that has been consumed by humans for hundreds of years! Edible parts of the plant include the whole leaves (leaflets, stalks and stems); the immature, green fruits or seed pods; the fragrant flowers; and the young seeds and roots. Moringa contains vitamin’s E and C, which are great for neuron and brain health. Moringa flowers and leaves contain high levels of polyphenols that protect the liver from oxidation, toxicity, and damage. Another interesting use for moringa is that it can be ground into a powder and added to water to apply to insect bites or wounds for antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. Moringa seed cake, obtained as a byproduct of pressing seeds to obtain oil, is used to filter water using flocculation to produce potable water for animal or human consumption. Here is a recipe for a Moringa morning smoothie. Add this to your diet to improve health and reduce stress! Click here to download this infographic.</image:caption>
