Bay leaf

Bay leaves are an aromatic leaf that is commonly used in cooking for its herbal and slightly floral taste. It can be added to soups, stocks, or rice during the cooking process in order to impart its flavor. Bay leaves are not commonly consumed themselves as they are quite bitter, but it is popular to use them during the cooking process.

Bayleaves can also be placed in pantries and cupboards to repel common pests like meal moths, cockroaches, and flies.
